Swing the doors open

This Reel is as simple as it gets. Set your phone up on a tripod in front of a door or set of doors, then simply open the door to reveal the room inside. This could be the door to the primary bedroom, a spa-like ensuite, an office, the library, the front door, etc.

Create a Reel for each room! It’s easy content to make. You can be in the video and show yourself opening the door, walking through and disappearing into the room. You can crouch and slowly push the door(s) open from the bottom, keeping out of sight. If it’s easier, you can even attach a clear fishing line to the handle and, from inside the room, slowly pull the door open.

What you’ll need: A single video lasting 4-6 seconds.

How to make it

Step 1: Tap here to view the Reel on Instagram.

Step 2: Tap the trending sound, then “use audio” to get started.

Step 3: Input your video.

Step 4: Tap “next”’ and add text to the centre of your video if desired. Remember to keep it simple, so the focus remains on the listing you’re showing off.

Step 5: Tap “next”, then input your caption — keep it short and be sure to mention that it’s for sale, with a CTA.

Step 6: Select “edit cover” to either add your own cover or select a moment in the video you’d like to use as the cover image.

Step 7: Scroll down and tag your location so the algorithm shows your content to people interacting with content in the same area.

Step 8: Hit “share.”

Home for the summer

What would the summer months spent in your latest listing look like? Create short clips of the best spots in the home, especially where buyers can spend time relaxing with family and friends. You can pan from one side to the other, up and down, down and up … mix it up! But remember to take it slow — no quick movements.

What you’ll need: 14 clips, all 0.7 seconds in length.

How to make it

Step 1: Tap here to view the Reel on Instagram.

Step 2: Tap the “use template” button at the bottom left of your screen.

Step 3: Input your 14 clips in the order you prefer.

Step 4: You can leave the video without text or add simple text, like, “Spend the summer in your dream home.”

Step 5: Tap “next”, then input your caption — keep it short and sweet with a clear CTA.

Step 6: Select “edit cover” to either add your own cover or select a moment in the video you’d like to use as the cover image.

Step 7: Scroll down and tag your location so the algorithm shows your content to people interacting with content in the same area.

Step 8: Hit “share.”

Garden in bloom

Does your listing have a beautiful garden? Maybe a gorgeous backyard perfect for enjoying the warmer months? Set up your phone on a tripod and let the environment do its thing. This one’s especially ideal when there’s a slight breeze that causes a bit of movement. If it feels a little too still, you can add movement by simply walking into the frame and setting down an ice-cold drink and a book, then walking away again.

What you’ll need: A single video clip 10-12 seconds long.

How to make it

Step 1: Tap here to view the Reel on Instagram.

Step 2: Tap the trending sound, then “use audio” to get started and input your video.

Step 3: Tap “next” and add text to your video if desired.

Step 4: Tap “next”, then input your caption — keep it short and sweet with a clear CTA inviting people to learn more about the listing or to book a private showing.

Step 5: Select “edit cover” to either add your own cover or select a moment in the video you’d like to use as the cover image.

Step 6: Scroll down and tag your location so the algorithm shows your content to people interacting with content in the same area.

Step 7: Hit “share.”

Summer at home could look like this

This Reel template is another great opportunity to show your potential buyers what the slower summer moments can look like in their dream home.

Take short clips of the locations in the home where homeowners would have those moments. The pool, the deck, the BBQ, the kitchen with natural light flooding in, the little table for two set up on the front porch, the garden, the firepit, etc.

What you’ll need: 11 clips of around the home, or stick to one area if you prefer! Videos should range from 0.6 to 1.2 seconds.

How to make it

Step 1: Tap here to view the Reel on Instagram.

Step 2: Tap the “use template” button at the bottom left of your screen.

Step 3: Input your three clips in the order you prefer.

Step 4: Tap “next” and add your text. You can say something like, “Summer at home could look like this” or, “Summer in your dream home” and elaborate a little more in your caption.

Step 5: Tap “next” again, then input your caption — keep it short and sweet with a clear CTA.

Step 6: Select “edit cover” to either add your own cover or select a moment in the video you’d like to use as the cover image.

Step 7: Scroll down and tag your location so the algorithm shows your content to people interacting with content in the same area.

Step 8: Hit “share.”
